where
Rick provides engine and transmission service to give you the best possible performance and mileage.

Rick LeClaire, the man who has been racing and building race cars most of his life, will "fine tune" your machine to make you one happy camper.  You will be amazed at how much energy he can squeeze out of a gallon of fuel to give you not only top performance but great economy and mileage as well.

Rick uses very "high tech" products to help him gain the advantage on mileage and performance.  He is so confident he can increase your mileage, performance and the longevity of your whole drive train, he guarantees it.   Among his many customers, he finds that they get at least two miles per gallon increase when they have him service their vehicle with his Oil Extreme products.   This is a good number when you consider the costs of fuel and service over a years time:

  • Regular gasoline  is about $2.50 now.
  • Let's use an average of 20 mpg without his products or service.
  • Let's say, with a 2 mpg increase, you would get 22 mpg.
  • The recommended oil and filter change for Oil Extreme is every 7,000 miles.
  • Assume the annual miles driven is 21,000 miles.
  • Assume Rick's usual charge for service including an oil and filter change is $65.
  • Major other benefits, in addition to fuel savings, accrue when using Rick and his products: an increase in performance and longevity, and a quieter, more powerful running machine.

To determine the fuel costs per mile we take 2.50/20 = 12.5 cents per mile BEFORE service, and 2.50/22 = 11.36 cents AFTER Rick's service.  This is a difference of 1.14 cents per mile or $.0114 per mile savings.  Now multiply this savings per mile by 7,000 miles (.0114 x 7000) and we get $79.80, or call it $80.  This is just the fuel savings by letting Rick service your vehicle.

When you look at it on an annual basis, 21,000/7,000 = 3 servicings a year at $65 each, or a total of $195 per year.  The savings in fuel costs for the year are $.0114 x 21,000 = $240.  This means that taking the best care of your vehicle known to man doesn't cost you anything, but rather you will add $45 ($240 - $195) to your bank account during the course of the year.  Folks this is due the fuel mileage savings alone resulting from Rick's service.

On the other hand, if you don't use Rick's service, let's say a regular oil and filter change will cost perhaps $30 each, so at 3,000 mile intervals, that is 21,000/3,000 = 7 oil changes per year.  At $30 each, that is (7 x 30) or  $210 a year, and you do not have,  "Major other benefits, in addition to fuel savings, accrue when using Rick and his products: an increase in performance and longevity, and a quieter, more powerful running machine."

So $210 a year without the many benefits enumerated above versus a gain of $60 a year plus all of the other side benefits--well, that's a no-brainer!  The result is $270 more in your bank account at the end of the year.

This Webmaster looks for three very important things when he needs an auto mechanic for his car.  First is the integrity of the shop, second is the knowledge and experience of the mechanic, and third are the products he uses.  Rick's 'The Mileage Shop' shines on all three.   Back East Rick was known as the Mileage Doctor.  (See the news article on this Web site.)  He owns this title because of his extreme knowledge in this area.

I urge you to give Rick a call for a no-charge inspection and consultation.  Rick will give you the facts and explain the physics behind what he can do to improve mileage, longevity and performance for your vehicle.
